Board of Directors

Glenn T. Young
Glenn T. Young served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for five years before building a successful career in the medical field for nine years. He then spent six years as a management consultant before founding NW Distributors in 1989. For over three decades, he has been dedicated to fostering trust and value in communities across Texas and worldwide.
In 2023, Glenn founded Brothers Helping Hand, Inc., a nonprofit organization committed to supporting individuals and local nonprofits. Even before its establishment, he was actively involved in philanthropy, generously donating to various community initiatives and nonprofit organizations. As Executive Director, he oversees daily operations, secures grants and sponsorships, and expands programs that assist families in Leon County and surrounding areas.
A partially disabled U.S. Navy veteran, Glenn has called Leon County home for the past 30 years, residing in Buffalo, Texas.
"I am in the process of retiring from NW Distributors to dedicate more time to my charity and continue supporting our community—extending a helping hand where it's needed most."

Chad Young
Chad Young serves as the Executive Director of the Salina Rescue Mission, dedicating his life to serving the Lord and helping homeless neighbors overcome their struggles to build a brighter future. Having battled alcohol and drug addiction for 17 years—and even experiencing homelessness himself—Chad deeply understands the challenges many face. Through faith, perseverance, and the support of others, he transformed his life and is now committed to giving back, offering hope, compassion, and practical assistance to those in need.
While leading the Salina Rescue Mission, Chad recognized critical gaps in services for the homeless community. This led him to play a key role in founding Salina Grace, a nonprofit that provides a low-barrier winter shelter and a day shelter with case management services for the chronically homeless. Through this work, he has witnessed the power of collaboration in making real progress against homelessness. As a board member of Brothers Helping Hand, Chad aims to apply these same principles of teamwork, compassion, and strategic action to create lasting change for those in need.

Ricardo Aranda Martinez
Ricardo Aranda Martinez grew up in poverty in Guadalajara as one of ten children. To survive, he worked from a young age. Driven by a desire to help others, he joined the seminary in his late teens but left to support his family financially. He worked during the day and studied at night, eventually earning a degree in education. Though he built a successful career in the performing arts, his early struggles shaped his commitment to helping others. Now retired, he continues to support his family and dedicate his life to charitable work. Living in Mexico, he frequently travels worldwide to assist those in need.

James Young
James Young is a resident of Valparaiso, Indiana and currently is the President of Good Stewardship Ministries Inc (a 501c3 non-profit serving families in Northwest Indiana). Before dedicating his life to help others he was a corporate executive in a large technology company. Born in Hawaii and raised in Texas, James wants to share the gospel and give back to the community and help those in need. He is a member of the local Bridge Point Church.
A nonprofit is as strong as the community that holds it up. Together, we can do more than we can do alone. Let's bring our abilities and passions together to affect real change.
